Did you know that pumps are NOT recyclable? Do NOT put them in your recycling bin.

44% of people are putting the pump dispenser tops of hand soap bottles in the recycling — but these should be removed from the bottle first. 

• Metal springs found in pumps are detrimental to the plastic recycling stream.

• Chips bags, frozen food bags, plastic toys, toothpaste tubes, wrapping paper, tissues, and plastic cutlery, and packing peanuts are NOT recyclable. 

• Any recycling that’s thrown out in a plastic bag will go straight to a landfill, so it’s really just a waste of your time. Do it right. Do NOT put your recyclable items in a plastic bag.
